- Candidates will be responsible for field servicing of high-tech analytical instruments like GC’s, GC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR and AAS Spectrophotometers etc.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction
- Generating service and spares income (Applicable only for Sr. Service Executive)
Position : Application Chemist
Location : Baroda
Years of Experience : 3 to 5 years
Previous Work Experience : Hands on experience on GC, GCMS, GCMS-MS in R&D / Analytical Development Lab / QC lab in Pharmaceutical is must. Experience in Chemical company or Testing Laboratory will be an added advantage
Minimum Qualifications : B.Sc. or equivalent Graduation in Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry
Preferred Qualifications : M.Sc. Or Equivalent Postgraduation in Organic/ Analytical Chemistry or higher
Preferred Competencies :
- Should have effective English spoken and written communication skills
- Should be willing to travel extensively locally as well as outstation for customer support activity
Generic Responsibilities required for this Role :
- Experience in handling chromatography sampling techniques like Headspace Samplers, Thermal Desorption, Pyrolyzer, etc. would be added advantage
- Should have experience in analytical method development, method optimisation, method validation using these techniques
- Should have knowledge of application workflows as per industry segment worked
- Knowledge of global regulations in the field having experience would be an added advantage
- Should be well conversant with various sample preparation techniques like extraction, digestion, purification, clean up etc.
Job Role in Toshvin :
- Responsible for providing post sale customer on-site application support on GC, GCMS & GCMS-MS.
- Supporting customer method development / method optimisation assistance pertaining to their sample matrices
- Helping customer with method validation support
- Trouble shooting of customers application issues
- Demonstrating to customers advanced software capabilities and method packages with sample matrices
- Coordinate with Principals local application lab for any support required to address any unresolved customers application requests
- Conducting application training to customers chemists for effective use and utilization of the system and software
- Preparing effective application support reports detailing activities carried out and final result achieved
- Preparing and making PowerPoint presentations as and when required to customer on application support activity carried out and result achieved
Position : Manager – Customer Support
Location : Kolkata
Years of Experience : 8 to 12 years
Previous Work Experience : Direct experience in field related to analytical instruments servicing
Minimum Qualifications : Diploma in Electronics/ Instrumentation or MSc in Electronics
Preferred Qualifications : B E holders in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Comm / Instrumentation Engineering
Preferred Competencies :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Should be willing to travel

- Primarily Field Service Engineer and will be responsible for supporting customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repairs
- Creativity and can-do attitude is essential
- Ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key to success
Job Role in Toshvin :
- Candidates will be responsible for field servicing of high-tech analytical instruments like GC’s, GC – MS, UV-Vis, FTIR and AAS Spectrophotometers etc.
- Responsible for Onsite Installation and commissioning of hardware/software products at customer sites
- Serves as customer contact on routine technical, application, and service-related problems. Diagnose and resolve product performance problems. Proactively responds to potential instrument issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customer services
- Effectively communicates and escalates complex & unresolved problems and issues to higher level
- Follows documented practices, policies and procedures in training customers, operating the instruments and service-related tasks
- Provides analysis, feedback and recommendations on product failure trends and serviceability issues to higher levels
- Train other field engineers and customers
- Willing to travel to other regions based on requirement
- Responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction and generating service and spares income
