From Inception to Giant: a look at the brand identity of SILA
October 19, 2018In 2011, ABND worked with SILA, a facility management business to develop its brand philosophy and visual identity. SILA is a Real Estate Services platform with expertise in Facility Management, Real Estate Advisory, Project Management and Interior Contracting. Their clients include Mumbai International Airport (T2), Goldman Sachs, Adlabs Imagica, Piramal, Tata Sons, WeWork, amongst many others. Recently, in conversation with Mr. Rushabh Vora, Co-founder and Director of SILA, we tried to understand more about his experience in the industry, during and post the project with ABND.
What was the best part about working with the ABND team?
SILA worked with ABND 7 years ago, when it was incepted. Even though we were a small company at the time, ABND understood what SILA stood for and the culture we wanted to build. ABND related with our focus on ethics & trying to stay ahead of the curve. They developed a questionnaire that was easy to understand. The process gave ABND a flavour of what we were and what we wanted to build in future. They picked our company character easily and did not take more than one draft to get it bang on!
What has been SILA’s growth post the project with ABND?
In the past 7 years, SILA has grown exponentially with over 5000 employees located in 50+ cities and at over 150 locations in India. Throughout our growth, the only constant has been the philosophy, logo and identity which were developed by ABND. It was futuristic, and we have felt no need to change it otherwise. We will continue to use the same identity even in future expansion plans, both nationally and internationally.
Do you have any memorable experience that you would like to share during your years in this business?
There is no single experience that I can quote as most memorable. But one incident that has occurred time and again over the years is SILA’s recall. Clients who have not heard of SILA earlier, have often claimed to witness the brand in some location or the other and have remembered it. They claim that the brand identity of SILA is clean and catchy and not bland which would have otherwise been boring. This has helped attract eyes in all areas of the business.
Do you have any comments for our team or any feedback that you would like to share?
I worked with Kunal and Priyanka on the SILA project. Kunal is a great guy and extremely easy to work with! The turnaround time for the project was quick and it was worth the investment and time. I look forward to working with them in future.
